After over an over six months absence I have decided it is high time I start blogging again. I enjoy reading so many blogs of my friends and enjoy this way of journaling my reads, reviews and thoughts. So her goes -- let's see if I can keep it up!

- Having retired in 2012 from the medical industry and after having reviewed books for over 20 years, both print and online, including being a paid (contract) reviewer for Amazon.com, newsletter and magazine editor, book publicist, author escort, and freelance writer, I was able to use my experience to secure a position as a book editor at Tirgearr Publishing, a job I enjoy very much. I do only very occasional reviews these days as when I have time to read recreationally, I want to choose something just for me.

Welcome back! I've been coming by your blog on my weekly blog visits and was so happy to see your updates today! I will especially look forward to your musical thoughts and recommendations with the hope that you'll mention another artist who will bring me as much pleasure as Eva Cassidy has!

Try Katie Melua, who write a song called Faraway Voice about Eva Cassidy. We saw her at the Triple Door in Seattle last summer. She's from the former Soviet state of Georgia, emigrated to Belfast and now lives in England. Let me know what you think. ~M
